Synopsis

We spend all day recording things which then get buried in our hard drives. Perhaps the art of the future will be less about filming things and rather more about digging up images to remember them, letting them emerge. Versiones uses found footage to exhume the filmmaker's family history, focusing on the fraught relationship between her father and his first son, which left wounds yet to heal.

Bio/Filmo

Claudia Torres (Tenerife, 1990) is a multidisciplinary artist and film editor. After graduating in fine arts, she did a Master's Degree in Film Editing at LENS Escuela de Artes Visuales (Madrid), including an internship at Kodak Cinelabs Romania, in Bucharest. Versiones is her directorial debut.
