An autobiographical documentary based on the correspondence of two Cuban filmmakers. Childhood friends Patricia and Heidi have been separated for 15 years since they emigrated to Europe. By recalling memories of their home country and sharing experiences of their current life abroad, they try to reconnect through filmmaking. A media voz is an emotional and intimate journey and meditation on friendship, motherhood and borders. Their story reflects the challenges, roots and journeys of an entire generation.
