Call for Acció Curts

Acció Curts by Dones Visuals

ACCIÓCURTS is a mentoring, training and pitching programme that lets twelve women filmmakers introduce themselves to the industry, present their ideas for short films and forge ties with industry professionals and agents.

Short film projects may be submitted until 7 September 2020.

The shortlisted projects will be eligible for the ACCIÓCURTS Prize awarded granted by Dones Visuals and Aluzine Rentals.

Programme details

ACCIÓCURTS will be held from 16 to 21 November 2020 and will include the following activities:

  • Programme presentation and welcome
  • Workshop on gender perspective and diversity in audiovisual content
  • Mentoring, training and pitch preparation workshops
  • Pitching workshops in the industry and one-on-ones with producers
  • ACCIÓCURTS award ceremony

The activities will take place at the Francesca Bonnemaison Women’s Culture Centre, La Bonne and the CCCB as part of Cinema Pendent at l’Alternativa.

Elisabet Dubé is the coordinator of ACCIÓCURTS this year and Mercedes Martínez-Abarca, Marta Selva and Col·lectiu Ficcial make up the team of mentors.

Dones Visuals aims to promote the participation of audiovisual professionals from socially and historically marginalised collectives, as reflected in the eligibility and accessibility criteria set out in the programme regulations.

The training and industry connection activities will be free of charge for all the shortlisted project creators thanks to the invaluable support and collaboration of Dones Visuals, without which this programme would not be possible.
