Tres hermanas

Synopsis

A filmmaker and her two sisters—none of them exactly spring chickens—share their emotions and conflicts at their time in life from their homes in Paris, Tel Aviv and Bogotá. Insights from a part of society is routinely overlooked on two fronts: elderly women.

Bio/Filmo

Joyce Ventura helped set up UNO film and advertising production company in Bogotá in 1971. She has worked as a producer and editor on more than 1,000 adverts and helped create films for G3, which coproduced seven fiction films. She wrote, directed and edited the short film on child prostitution No hay mal que dure cien años, which won the Grand Prix at the Moscow Film Festival in 1983. The fifteen features she has produced include Gamín (Quinzaine des Réalisateurs at Cannes) and Adiós entusiasmo (Berlinale). She has taught film production and sat on juries at several international film festivals.
