Synopsis
An elderly couple decide they want to die together on their own terms before their health fails and one of them is left on their own. They use their last holiday to look back over their life as the magnitude of their decision sinks in.
Bio/Filmo
Pau Cruanyes Garrell and Gerard Vidal Barrena are directors and screenwriters who have worked together since university. In 2016 they directed the short Celebració, selected for the Nest Film Students section at San Sebastián Film Festival and winner of the SGAE Nova Autoria Award for Best Directing at Sitges Film Festival; it has also been screened at festivals worldwide, including Mecal (Barcelona), FEC (Catalunya) and Eureka Festival Universitario de Cine (Colombia), among others. Their debut film, Les dues nits d'ahir, which passed through benefited from several film labs, including Mentoring Projects 2018, Primer Test (where it won the Eclair Award) and Glocal in Progress, premiered in the Zonazine section at Málaga Film Festival (2020).
