Synopsis
Xoel, a young sound ethnologist, travels to Serra da Estrela following in the footsteps of his great-grandmother Clara, a shepherdess famed for her beautiful singing. Along the way, he becomes increasingly transfixed by the land of his ancestors.
Bio/Filmo
Carlos Martínez-Peñalver Mas is a director, editor and cofounder of Omen production company. After graduating in audiovisual communication from the University of Santiago de Compostela and Pompeu Fabra University, he did a Master's Degree in Editing at ESCAC and a Master's Degree in Contemporary Film and Audiovisual Studies (UPF). He helped edit Oliver Laxe's Mimosas and is currently cutting the feature films Alén Mar (Mentoring Projects 2017) and El rastro firme (Mentoring Projects 2019). He has directed Nocturna, Juventud Gruyère, Después de la bandera and Cómo desaparecer.
