Les Perseides

Synopsis

According to local lore, a small town in Aragón was built on a civil war battleground, and ghosts and spirits can still be found wandering its streets between half-abandoned buildings. Following her parents’ divorce, Mar arrives in town for the strangest summer of her life and finds solace in mysterious postwar legends and with a group of teenagers who live by different rules to the ones she knows. Increasingly unable to distinguish fact from fiction, she ventures deeper and deeper into a place that turns out to be far more interesting than it first appeared and is finally reconciled with her father.

Bio/Filmo

Ànnia Gabarró (Barcelona, 1994) studied audiovisual communication at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and modern languages and literature at the Universitat de Barcelona. She codirected the Inmensa art project, exhibited at MACBA, and the short film El que no ens fa diferents.
Alberto Dexeus (Barcelona, 1994) studied audiovisual communication at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, including a term at the Universidad del Cine de Buenos Aires. He directed the short Monocigótico and created and directed the fiction series 5 minuts tard.
