D'un château l'autre

Spring 2017. During the French presidential election, 25-year-old Pierre rents a room from 75-year-old Francine, who is confined to a wheelchair. Together they observe the electoral circus, at once confused and disorientated, and despite the differences in their political opinions and social backgrounds, they manage to confide in each other.

Emmanuel Marre (1980) started a literature degree in Paris but decided to switch to film, and graduated from the Institut des Arts de Diffusion in Brussels in 2008. He makes both documentaries and fiction films, including Le Désarroi du flic socialiste Quechua (2014) and Le Film de l'été (2016). He is currently working on his debut feature film.
