Synopsis
The ancient Greeks believed that the world ended at the Straits of Gibraltar, as reflected in the Latin admonition Non terrae plus ultra (No land beyond here). When this proved too tempting a warning and explorers began conquering new lands, the Spanish State adopted a suitably trimmed version as its national motto: Plus ultra.
Bio/Filmo
Samuel M. Delgado (1987) cowrote Slimane (2013) and directed Malpaís (2012), Ni dios ni Santa María (2015) and Montañas ardientes que vomitan fuego (2016), all screened at previous editions of l'Alternativa.
Helena Girón (1988) worked on the project Volonté (2015) and codirected Ni dios ni Santa María (2015) and Montañas ardientes que vomitan fuego (2016).
