La Deuxième Nuit (The Second Night)
Eric Pauwels
Synopsis
The second night in a new life marks a baby’s first separation from its mother’s body, a path that will get wider over the days, months and years as the child fashions its own personality. The filmmaker’s mother is slowly slipping away from life and moving towards a separation which, this time, will be final. A time to look back and explore the transformation of a path that both pulled them apart and at the same time forged stronger ties between them. This feature film tries to heal that first wound, opened on the second night, by rescuing key moments in their relationship from the destructive power of time. This is the third instalment in the Trilogie de la cabane.
