L’ALTERNATIVA OFFICIAL JUDGES
Prize for Best Feature Film in l’Alternativa Official

Mar Coll
graduated in directing from the Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya (ESCAC). She cowrote and directed the short films La última Polaroid (2004), Amics (2010) and La inquilina (2015) and the feature films Tres dies amb la família (2009), and the feature films Tots volem el millor per a ella (2013). She currently lectures at ESCAC while working on her next project, Carta al padre.

Andrés Duque
is a Spanish-Venezuelan filmmaker. His first film, Ivan Z (2004), played at l'Alternativa and was nominated for a Goya. In 2011 his first feature film. En 2011 realizó su primer largometraje, Color perro que huye, premiered at the Rotterdam Film Festival, and in 2013 he won the City of Barcelona Award for Ensayo final para utopía. His latest film Oleg and las raras artes (2016) has won the Gran Premio Punto de Vista, among others.

Mireia Iniesta
graduated in Romance languages and Italian from the Universidad de Barcelona and did a master’s in contemporary audiovisual and film. She is a member of CAMIRA and writes for Cinergia, La Furia Umana and El Destilador Cultural. She acted in J.L. Guerin’s feature La Academia de las Musas (2015) and Judith Colell’s short Aniversari (2016).

Federico Delpero Béjar
works in postproduction and editing. He has worked with Victor Kossakovsky, José Luis Guerin, Andrés Duque, Pilar Monsell, Yrsa Roca Fannberg and Mònica Rovira, among others, and also made forays into the worlds of film production and financial design.

Pilar Monsell
graduated in audiovisual communication from the Universidad de Málaga and did a Master’s in Creative Documentary Making at UPF. She directed the short films Distancias (2008) and Pan, trabajo and libertad (2012) and the feature film África 815 (2014), which won the Panorama L’Alternativa–Platja d'Aro—Costa Brava Award last year. She cofounded the Laboratorio Reversible collective in Barcelona.

Luis Macías
is an artist and filmmaker. He is one half of the Crater duo and cofounder of Crater-Lab, an independent, artist-run analogue film lab. His short film The Kiss, was screened at l'Alternativa 2014, and his expanded cinema projects and installations have been exhibited at festivals, museums and art centres in Spain, Europe, Asia, Latin America and the United States.

Arantxa Acosta
cofounded Cine Divergente online magazine and, more recently, Probeta cultural association. She currently codirects and writes about film and other arts for her main project, La Realidad No Existe. She also works as an editor for miradasdecine.es.

Juan Manuel Linares
Writes for the film blog Quemando Manderlay and his own film blog, bloggerdeniro.com. He studied audiovisual production and also works as a screenwriter and filmmaker.

Albert Margalef
is a member of the Film-Història research group at the Universitat de Barcelona. In 2012 he did a Master’s in Creative Documentary Making at UPF, working alongside Victor Kossakovsky, with whom he codirected the documentary Demonstration. Demonstration. In 2014 he worked on Pere Portabella’s new film, Informe general II. El nuevo rapto de Europa.

Rodolf Giner
writes fiction for TV series such as L’Alqueria Blanca, Socarrats o Autoindefinits. He has also written scripts for nonfiction and children’s comics and cartoons. He sat on the board of Escriptors de l'Audiovisual Valencià and currently sits on the boards of the Foro de Asociaciones de Guionistes del Audiovisual (FAGA) and Guionistes Associats de Catalunya (GAC).

Dani Resnich
is a screenwriter, postgraduate lecturer, producer of transmedia contents and cofounder of Goodmoment, creative contents agency. He worked on the screenplays for the feature films Asesinato a distancia and El astillero and the documentaries Umbanda and La puerta de las artes. He wrote the feature film Juan X Inés and advised on films such as La Manada and Sentidos ocultos.
