Synopsis
Street newspaper sellers in Dakar have always been boys, but one morning a young beggar girl on crutches sets out as well. Despite being bullied, she fights her way through all the obstacles in her path. With this astonishing character at the fore, Mambéty’s final film takes an optimistic look at the strength and potential of Africa’s most oppressed.
