Coproduction: the key to independent filmmaking

L'Alternativa once again invites independent filmmaking professionals from all branches of the industry to take part in an event to debate and learn about models and tools for production and finance. The meeting will look at case studies to offer different perspectives on producers' jobs in these new times.

Speakers:

  1. Marta Andreu: (Catalonia) Coordinator of the Master's in Creative Documentary at the UPF. Creative documentary producer, jury member and project monitor. Creator of DocMontevideo and one of the professionals who decide which projects will get finance at the Berlinale. She has also carried out several coproductions in South America. Estudiplaytime
  2. Stienette Bosklopper (The Netherlands). Producer at Circe Films. She has coproduced films in Europe and South America that have been screened at numerous international film festivals.
  3. Jonas Dornbach: (Germany). Long-serving member and producer at Komplizen Film and previously CEO of his own company Kinoherz in Berlin for seven years. He has produced films in Europe such as Tabú which have been screened at several international film festivals. Dornbach's graduation film won the Studio Hamburg Award for the Best Feature Film. Jonas Dornbach is a member of the International Producer Networks ACE (Ateliers du Cinéma Européen) and EAVE.
  4. Felipe Lage (Galicia). Director of Zeitun Films production company. He currently coproduces with France, Morocco, Germany and Mexico. Since setting up the production company in 2009, he has found the necessary finance from inside and outside the country to carry out projects featured at film festivals worldwide.
  5. Stephane Zajdenweber: (France). Former Chief Financial Officer at Wild Side, part of the Wild Bunch Group, Stephane is founder and director of f2.8 Pictures, a French production company specialising in international co-production of fresh and innovative feature film projects.
  6. María Zamora: (Madrid). Independent film producer at Avalon. She has produced films such as La mujer sin piano and Mapa and has recently finished shooting Todos están muertos. Since Avalon is also a distribution company, the whole production process is also geared towards selling the film.
