In L'Alternativa Hall we are once again showing work from similarly minded festivals to promote ‘filmmaking with a difference’ – films that combine enigma, an urge to experiment and an unique approach with the desire to rebel against the norms, knowing full well that there are plenty of opportunities to capture and reveal reality. We are showing a programme from In the Palace International Short Film Festival in Balchik/Varna, Bulgaria.

In The Palace (30')WED20

Organised by the Format SFF Foundation and Veshtina Community Centre in partnership with and with the support of Balchik Town Council, the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture, the Bulgarian National Film Centre and the State Cultural Institute, In The Palace is the first and only short film festival in Bulgaria, and is funded by the MEDIA Programme of the European Union. It screens contemporary film art and helps create a favourable environment and platform for both young filmmakers and established professionals.
