An army unit is ordered to patrol the outskirts of the capital. Costi, one of the conscripts, manages to slip away and heads for the TV station to join the anti-Ceauşescu forces. He only makes it as far as a nearby house, though, where he is mistaken for a terrorist and captured by a mixed group of soldiers and civilians defending the building.
