Florence Miailhe has directed a dozen or so animation films. Au premier dimanche d'août (2002) won a César for Best Short and Conte de quartier (2006) received a Special Mention at Cannes. Both films were shown at previous editions of l'Alternativa. She is currently working on her first feature film with French writer Marie Desplechin.
