verano de goliatMexican filmmaker Nicolás Pereda (whose films ¿Dónde están sus historias?, Perpetuum mobile and Entrevista con la tierra have all screened at previous editions of l’Alternativa), has won the Orizzonti Prize at the 67th Venice International Film Festival with his latest film Verano de Goliat. The film is already confirmed to screen in competition at l’Alternativa in November 2010. In the main competition the Goppi Volti Best Actress Award was given to Ariane Labed for her role in Attenberg by Athina Rachel Tsangari, whose debut feature film The Slow Business of Going won an award at l’Alternativa 2001.
