Synopsis
Julia has just arrived in a town in Andalusia to do a summer course in painting. Although there are lots of people to meet, she feels lost and lonely. Everything changes, though, when one night a statue begins to talk to her.
Bio/Filmo
Paula González García (Vigo, 1994) graduated in audiovisual communication from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid and specialised in documentary filmmaking at ECAM and film curating at the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola film school. Her work explores subjective gazes, everyday life and individuals’ relationship with the digital world. Her films have been screened at festivals such as DocsBarcelona, FIDMarseille, Curtocircuíto, Festival dei Popoli and Festifreak, among others. She currently divides her time between directing, teaching and programming films. Her films as director include La fiesta del fin del mundo (2021) and Notas sobre Nest (2021), a documentary made for the San Sebastián International Film Festival as a making-of on its Nest section.
