Synopsis
A European artist writes about his experience in portraying life in Brazil during the colonial period. Meanwhile, a doorman, or porteiro, monitors the images of the security cameras in a residential building, while reflecting on his profession and the relationship with his employers. Everything seems to be in its place... until the images portrayed by the European artist emerge, and with them all the nightmares of a country's past. Is it just a nightmare or is it a call to action?
Based on reports by real-life porteiros and drawings and texts by European artists during the colonial period about their travels in Brazil, Urban Solutions cuts a subversive path through history to offer present a fresh take on “normality”.
