Synopsis

After the death of his grandfather, Alexandre decides it is time to make his first film. A film about himself, his grandfather and his urge to make films. When his father, after a long period without any contact, calls to invite him on board the Broc’h Bihan, grandfather’s old boat, Alexandre accepts and takes his video camera along to start recording what will become his first film.

Bio/Filmo

Alexandre Bré is a French filmmaker and photojournalist who is currently editing his debut documentary feature, El Broc'h Bihan, produced by Atiende Films, while also developing his animated short Veille qui vaille, produced by 1224 Films and winner of a CNC grant. As a photographer he is represented by the Hans Lucas agency. His photographs have appeared in numerous publications, including Libération, Le Figaro and La Croix, and he won the Coup de cœur Award at the 2022 Visa pour l'image photojournalism festival for his photodocumentary Paysans.
