Synopsis

A journey across postwar Italy up until the early 1960s, when young people who had lived through the horrors of war began planning their future, full of hope yet also bursting with contradictions. Interweaving dances and songs, old traditions and sudden changes, Bulli e pupe depicts a country about to enter the modern age, undergoing an epochal transformation in just a short span of time.
