Synopsis
As the Second Spanish Civil War rages on in 2025, a low-ranking military officer has to transfer the most dangerous prisoner in the country from Barcelona to Madrid. By doing so, she gets a step closer to achieving her greatest wish: to leave Spain behind. But neither of them will emerge from this far-from-easy journey unscathed and they will both find themselves in unexpected places.
Bio/Filmo
Meritxell A. Valls (Palamós, 1990, now based in Barcelona) graduated from ESCAC as a screenwriter. She burnished her professional credentials at Filmax production company and by working on shoots such as Mientras dure la guerra, by Alejandro Amenábar, Las chicas del cable and A pesar de todo. She wrote and directed the short film L'aleteig del colibrí, which premiered at the 2018 Sitges Festival, before going on to win a clutch of awards at festivals worldwide, including the Fantasia Film Festival in Canada, BIFFF in Brussels and Winter Film Festival in New York.
