Synopsis
While working on my PhD thesis, I set out to explore how to make situated cinema by shooting a nonfiction film about a religious community. By documenting the whole process, the project became a film about the film about the Capuchins. Film became thesis and thesis became the film.
Bio/Filmo
Pau Pericas Bosch is a filmmaker and lecturer at the UB and BAU. He graduated in audiovisual communication from the UB, did an MA in film and contemporary audiovisual studies at the UPF and is a PhD student on the Estudis Culturals programme at the UVic-UCC (through BAU). He has directed the short S’hivern (Gadea Films, 2019) and the video essay Para después del capitalismo (CCCB, 2020).
