Lui e io

Synopsis

The reflection of a woman in her role as wife and mother, partly by choice, partly out of obligation. Her husband's pictures of her reveal her opposition to his world, her militant spirit taking her far from home. Lui e io rethinks feminist precepts as a political act to convey the idea that love is about accepting differences and that personal memories are part of a collective story.

Bio/Filmo

Giulia Cosentino (Catania, 1990) is a film director and researcher who studied film and visual arts in Rome before doing an international MA in audiovisual and film studies at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, where she specialised in archive research. She is currently based in Rome, working as assistant director, screenwriter and archive researcher in partnership with the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia - Sede Sicilia.
