Synopsis
Lying on a bed in a minimalist room in a geometric city, a man is in stalemate, unable to decide. Time stands still within and without, while he is observed by another man with a bunch of dried red flowers. Inaction rules. Driven by disgust and despair, he seems to catch a brief glimpse of a way out: between cycles of analysis and broken sequences, he spies a potencial mistake.
Bio/Filmo
Luís Soares (Lisbon, 1981) has worked in animation since 2006 and taught it since 2009. His first film, Any Other Man (2012), picked up a clutch of awards, including the Mikeldi d’Oro for Best Animation Film at Zinebi (Bilbao), Best Portuguese Film at the Cinanima Animation Festival, Brand New Award at IndieLisboa and the Revelation Award at the Caminho do Cinema Português Festival, as well as being shortlisted for the Cartoon d’Or Award.
