L'Alternativa Professionals

Dones Visuals Acció Curts Symposium

L'Alternativa Professionals - Dones Visuals Acció Curts Symposium

AccióCurts aims to promote women’s short fiction, documentary and animated film projects. Dones Visuals, in collaboration with l’Alternativa Professionals and La Bonne, is organising this event at l’Alternativa to boost the presence of women in the audiovisual world and to act as a meeting point and galvanising force for the industry.

The event helps create openings for women’s short film projects by forging ties between project creators and potential production companies and industry experts who can offer advice. A shortlist of 12 projects will be drawn up from all those submitted to the Dones Visuals call for projects. Once this shortlist has been made public, the directors of the selected projects will undergo a training session and then attend a round of One-to-One interviews with industry professionals. In addition, one of the shortlisted projects will be awarded the Prize for Best Pitch, to be announced at the l’Alternativa Awards Bash.

L’Alternativa Professionals will also select one short film project from the projects submitted by women to the 6th Mentoring Projects to take part in the Dones Visuals Acció Curts Symposium as well.

The project mentor for this edition of Acció Curts will be Mercedes Martínez Abarca, Film Programmer/Industry Advisor (International Film Festival Rotterdam, Abycine Festival de Cine de Albacete and Festival Internacional de Cine de Gijón).
