Canción en la noche (Song in the Night)
Hernán Talavera

Synopsis
This film is the result of a promise. In the middle of winter, Hernán Talavera was sent to a small village, where he would have to remain until summer. And Marta, who had just left Latvia to continue her year-long relationship with Hernán, would have to live alone in a strange country. Before leaving, Hernán promised to make something to compensate for his absence: this film. Like an inventory of tiny daily events, Canción en la noche celebrates the simple life, small things and the passing of time.
Bio/Filmo
Hernán Talavera makes short films in the same solitary fashion as he paints. After graduating in fine art, he honed his skills in workshops with artists and filmmakers such as Abbas Kiarostami, Bill Viola, Carsten Nicolai, Toni Conrad, Víctor Erice, José Luis Guerín and Antonio López. His short Cuatro postales a Marta was screened at l'Alternativa 2015.
