Synopsis
Arthur Martinez may be a full-time computer doctor in real life, but he dreams of fame and fortune. When he commissions two indie filmmakers to come to Denver and make a film about him, though, it isn’t long before they decide to intervene and persuade him to reveal more of his inner self. But the more the filmmakers try to get a grip on the actor, the more desperately he tries to wrestle himself free. The result is plenty of discomfort and absurdist scenes, continuously hovering on the boundary between fiction and reality.
Bio/Filmo
Mike Ott studied film and video at Cal Arts. He recently completed his desert trilogy: Littlerock, Pearblossom Hwy, and Lake Los Angeles. His films have won numerous awards, including an Audience Award at AFI Fest, a Gotham Award and an Independent Spirit Award.
Nathan Silver graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Since then he has written and directed five shorts and six features, including Soft in the Head (2013), Uncertain Terms (2014), and Stinking Heaven (2015). His films have played at festivals in cities around the world, including Locarno, New York, Rotterdam and Vienna.
