El Meu Primer Festival, now in its sixth edition, continues to share the wonder of audiovisual creation with children from a wide-ranging, creative perspective.
For the third consecutive year, l'Alternativa and El Meu Primer Festival are once again teaming up to offer two very special film sessions for the youngest audiences!
Small Experiments session
For children aged 5-8
Saturday 23, noon, Teatre, CCCB, 60 min
The Small Experiments session presents a selection of short films made using different techniques that play creatively with contents, stories and atmospheres. Animation made out of Post-it notes, T-shirts, oil painting and graffiti. Impossible stories and charming tales to fire the imagination of young and old alike.

Great Masters of Animation session
For children aged 7-10

Great Masters of Animation is a programme of shorts designed to introduce young children to inspiring works of art from the world of animated filmmaking across the decades. These films have travelled the globe, yet remain largely unknown. In this session we invite you to discover Japanese animator Osamu Tezuka and his short films inspired by nature, and two of Nick Park's first shorts for Aardman, a witty British animation studio with a sharp sense of humour.

We are also putting on two family events as part of l'Alternativa Activities: the Stop Motion workshop and the Drawing Barcelona workshop – Creating a group film with Maya Yonesho, as well as screening work by Maya Yonesho in l'Alternativa Hall.
