When a Vienna museum guard befriends an enigmatic visitor, the grand Kunsthistorisches Museum becomes a mysterious crossroads which sparks explorations of their lives, the city and the ways in wich works of art reflect and shape the world. The film is an engaging study of a relationship, but also a portrait of Vienna and a meditation on the crossings between life and art and the museum as intermediary.

Jem Cohen (1962) is a New York–based filmmaker whose feature films include Chain, Benjamin Smoke and Instrument. His films form part of the collections at the MoMA and the Whitney Museum and have been broadcast by PBS, Arte and the Sundance Channel.
