A look at the psychiatric accident and emergency service at Hôtel-Dieu hospital in Paris. A stream of disconsolate people: an exhauste bus driver, a housewife who can't take any more, a young girl who tried to commit suicide, a pensioner he says he has a 'moral disease'. Raymond Depardon portrays the patient-psychiatrist relationship in unusual fashion with the punch, rhythm and density of the truth.
