Official Sections
In the Official Sections, l'Alternativa showcases a representative selection of independent filmmaking from the last two years: 60 personal, committed, daring films from all over the world. Our goal is to promote new directors and little-known, original films from the current audiovisual scene.
The selected films will compete in three sections:
- Fiction Feature
- Documentary Feature
- Short Films (fiction, animation and documentary)
Prizes are awarded in each category. Best Fiction Feature, €6500; Best Documentary Feature, €4500; and Best Short Film, €3000; as well as an honorary Audience Award in the Short Film section.
