SONIA HERMAN DOLZ RETROSPECTIVE
Sonia defines her work as "the challenge of abstracting a film from reality" and is fascinated by subjects that reflect "the body's artistic expressions, dance, singing, bullfighting, and anything that takes human beings to a higher level."
This retrospective will enable us to appreciate the intimate, intriguing atmosphere between the director and the characters in her films.
A highlight of the collection is a tribute to her mother, Barcelona-born painter Dora Dolz: the film Retrato de Dora Dolz. Dora would have loved to have been here at the Festival with her daughter, but sadly she passed away in March this year.
