Sinopsis: Fifty years separate Irene and Sandrine: one was a member of the Russian nobility who witnessed the fall of the regime and was adopted by a new family; the other grew up dreaming of a former, fairytale Russia.
 
Bio: Sandrine Stoïanov studied fine art and later ran an animation and storyboard workshop at the Gobelins Animation School in Paris. She has worked as a set and character designer for TV and feature films, including Persepolis. Irinka et Sandrinka is her first short film, in which she paints the memories of her Russian aunt.
