At the latitude of the Tropic of Cancer in the desert of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, various families survive by hunting animals they then consume and sell on the highway.
With little dialogue, and footage of a singularly harsh and unrelenting landscape, this film is more than simply a document of time and place; it is a portrait of life on the margins, a place where dignity and brutal hardship exist side by side.
