Sinopsis:

A dozen sequences set in different places. A nighttime meadow, a roadside and a courtyard are all inhabited by people treated as strange creatures by the filmmaker. They don't talk, but nonetheless seem able to communicate and interact. Filmed in a single shot, each living tableau features beings whose behaviour is at times illogical, amusing and absurd.

Benedek Fliegauf takes us on an inner journey through our perceptions of the world, a waking dream that stresses the importance of sounds and images with their own language that can sometimes transcend words. Tejut is a multi-layered hypnotic trip with considerable room for interpretation.

Bio:

Benedek Fliegauf (Budapest, 1974) set up the film production company Raptor's Kollectiva in 2001. He has made two feature films: Rengeteg (2003) and Dealer (2004), both screened at previous editions of l'Alternativa.

Tejut won the Filmmakers of the Present Award at Locarno this year.
