Music: Andreas SchillingSinopsis: Benidorm stands for package tourism, year-round sunshine, cheap booze and a concrete coastline. In the winter months, its residents are almost exclusively pensioners. Benidorm is a film about age, dignity and the transient nature of life.
Bio: Carolin Schmitz (Wiesbaden, 1967) studied at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. Her films include Paralleluniversen (2002) and Sitzend überleben (2001). Benidorm won the German Film Award at the Oberhausen Film Festival.
